Hey. I am looking to start doing gigs. I have uploaded my mixes on soundcloud, youtube, etc. I am looking to be as proactive as possible so I want to create a presskit. I know the basics of what I need to include like bio, pics, mixes, etc. However, I am not finding any info anywhere on how to proceed to make a presskit for a DJ that has not had any live club performances yet, I see that in all the presskits, people include there past bookings and experience. So basically I want to know how I can go about having a presskit that will help my chances of getting a gig without having a page of past performances, everyone started from 0 so im curious to find out how some of you started with this. Also if anyone has recommondations on to what formats/sites to host there presskits on, for example, facebook ,myspace , own website, or pdf files. Thanks in advance!
