Topic: VDJ8: The autopilot feature!!

I wonder.. will VDJ finally have the so long awaited auto pilot function:

- Auto select genre based on crowd recognition through a webcam
- Automix the perfect sets the entire night taking up requests through the connected mic
- Automatically post the perfect mixes on your mixcloud and soundcloud profiles
- Manage your webshop of mixtapes
- Arrange bookings for new gigs
- Auto replying to forum posts in the VDJ forums
- Order drinks and girls to hang out with during the gig after you pressed the auto pilot button

And of course we'll get haters saying you aren't a DJ if you use the auto pilot function, but they just don't understand technological progress!

Yer there's probably an app for that, now there's the door F OFF!

I am certain the auto DJ thing will get some kind of make over though i.e. rather than a playlist it would be nice if it could pick out song automaticly based on the mood/tempo of the current one. Then for every three or so fast songs it plays it then plays one slower one...
 
LMFAO! hummmm no thanks, but im pretty sure atomix also make a program with most of those features that they sell to bars... maybe you need that LOL

it would be awesome if autopilot would also do all the heavy lifting and setup/takedown as well... smh

So you're saying that you don't want to really DJ, you just want to party and get paid for it??

I am sure there was autoworker back in the day thinking, "wouldn't it be great to have a robot weld this part and I can just sit here and watch it" (now that guy is unemployed. hahahah)
 
I hope people realize this was meant fully ironic ..... Very literal interpretation of a Virtual DJ and a sneer to all the nee sayers when it comes to the sync function.. :P
 
apparently it also needs an irony detector... with very low latency... lmao

I must admit, I missed that. LOL
 
I just can't imagine when Engineers & Architect heard about AUTOCAD, PRIMAVERA & OTHERS they were very happy that some companies put their request in reality by having those softwares released in the market. No need to use so much of formula and calculus that last for almost a week just to estimate buildings cost but now just one click of their mouse & keyboard you will exactly have what you want. But why PRO-DJ's hates so much VIRTUAL DJ? just because VDJ release the AUTOPLAY? AUTO SYNC? and they called it CHEATING? i don't understand why? i think it is because VDJ creates this softwares which unlock the reality of the DJing world which is a big treat for them. Let see what is new on VIRTUAL DJ 8 i'm sure it will be more powerful than what the competitors does and then now we talking about AUTO-PILOT they'll might become more crazy.
 
You add all thse auto features and next thing you know, The Djs that cant mix or dont even try learining on there own will always use the Auto. There are many Djs that take pride in doing what they do because they love it and others that dont care. Djs dont like other djs that dont want to learn something and take the easy way out. To get ahead and be great, you have to master something on your own, not by cheating. I have 25 years Dj ing and i teach other Djs how to mix manually.
