I snapped this pic just a moment ago at a gig. Ahhhh, I love me some buttons and knobs.

how long have you had those numark 400s? how are they working out for you?
 
Don't take me wrong, I like your picture but I couldn't help to notice the heavy distorted output... :P
 
The Numarks have been working flawlessly for a year now. I couldn't be happier!

As to the LED's on the mixer, they have never really been a good indicator for distortion. I wondered that too the first time I fired this setup up. It actually sounds just about right if the lights peg on the bass beat.
 
What happened to the touch screen system?
 
I second the last question, that looked very impresive...

A cool as it was, it was actually anything but. I had several heat related issues. I ended up replacing all the components due to heat damage. The 3 screens all ran warm. As did the processor and 2 video cards. Put all of that in a single box and it was a recipe for a disaster. I repurposed one of the touchscreens to run my DMX lighting. I plan to repurpose another one as the screen I use on the machine for VDJ. Even though I have 2 cdj's and 2 midi controllers, a single touchscreen would be a nice thing to have.

I should also mention that the touchscreen case weighed in at 85 lbs. This new setup weighs in at half that.
 
You should have added some vent holes and a few fans. When I saw it there was none of that stuff on it.

Bring back the touch screens, lol!

LOL! I did have 3 fans in the case...plus a 4th on the processor heat sink. I should also point out that as cool as that setup was, with no external mixer, if the computer went down, I was dead in the water. Granted I carried a back up and I was only down for at most 30 seconds, it was still worrisome. I am still using touchscreen technology, it's just more of a hybrid system.
