Topic: Headphones / Digital VU Meters for VMS4

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

ok I'm using the VMS4 soundcard and headphones work BUT I can only hear what's heard on the speakers. I need to hear the track in the headphones FIRST before I let the sound of the track out on the speakers. CAN ANY1 HELP ME?? ALSO the digital VU Meters sometimes shows to the RED levels. Is it bad for the mixer if the red vu meters light up from +2 -+10? or should they stay mainly on the GREEN levels?

the cue buttons above the faders need to be pressed to hear it in headphones and on the front there are 2 knobs 1 called cue mix and 1 called gain. The 1 called gain is the overall volume of the headphone. the cue mix balances between master out and cue listening. when centered the volume of cue song(pree listening) and song playing trought master out are at same level. You can have a little of red in the vu meter, I've read somewhere on the VMS4 support forum that it safe to have it up to about +4.

hope this will help you

Thank you so much for your help Gullum!!

I had exactly this problem when I got mine recently - all sorted now tho - just need to get some powered speakers next payday and then we're going to start gigging!
