So I've been playing guitar for a long time and I have a basic understanding of music theory. I figure I need to embrace the next frontier in music before I get left in the dust. Where should someone like me start? Any tips for a newbie?

A Man and His Music
See if you can find a mentor, or at least some one you like, and can watch. Download the free version, get some music, and practice. Then practice some more. I've been doing this for 43 years, and still practice. This is a great forum, and you can find a lot of help here. Good luck.
