Topic: American Audio VMS4

Hows it going everyone? I was really considering on ordering the AA VMS4, I was wondering if it was a good controller. Or is there something else i should get? Im just starting out as a mobile dj im just trying to build up my system.

Do a forum search, loads of people have asked the same thing and there is a lot of info here.

There was a long thread in the hardware section on the original VMS4 which wasn't great but the revised one may be better.

As a former owner I would honestly say I would not buy it again (this is coming from a person who is very open to all dj gear brands). I think the unit has lots of potential but to me it just didn't deliver. I would only consider the unit again if they came out with a 2nd, new and improved version.
On paper It looks like AA may have resolved the issues people were encountering on the VMS4 with the VMS2 but the VMS2 is only 2 channels, but I can't speak of the VMS2 since I have never used one.
like Keith mentioned.......do your research, there's plenty of threads around here on the unit and also on AAs own vms4dj.com, you can also try youtube.com there's videos on there of people actually using it.
 
What about the Numark Mixdeck? Ive heard pretty good things about it.
