Topic: VDJ Mapper for the Traktor S4

Hello I have been a long time user and supporter of virtual dj but recently switched to the traktor s4 i like traktor but i still miss virtual dj and would love the Vdj team to make a mapper WE DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR UNLIKE RETHINK !!!! Come On Vdj please make this happen i wanna mix video with my S4

IMO the S4 and S2 should of course be natively supported in VDJ! Please make it happen Dev.Team
 
Unfortunately the populous opinion and Native Instruments opinion don't match.

And to be very honest about it; if the manufacture of the hardware does not want to ship us one for us to provide support for it, then it is not currently on our immediate list.
 
I have a mapper for the S4, but it was built by someone else who chose to sell it rather than share it (via the downloads section), and as this goes against the VDJ ethos, I'm afraid I can't give any further information on where it can be obtained.

It works very well in both 2 and 4 deck modes and a little modification to the mapping by me has made it a truly wonderful piece of kit, as I can choose to use it with either TP2 or VDJ.
 
hi simon, yeah i do know who you mean. Been following the situation. Besides that, how well does the S4 act in MIDI mode with VDJ? Mind doin a little video with some scratching and so?
 
I have a Traktor S4 controller and I downloaded the plugin for Traktor S4 via the virtual DJ plugin download center (plugin created by Author: technz). The Traktor S4 controller works perfect with Traktor, but it doesn't work with Virtual DJ.

Please help, as I see that some of you have managed to get it working.

did you put the S4 in midi mode first? not sure if this would need to be done while in traktor or not.
 
Hi, does anyone know what is meant by "load the 'Traktor Kontrol S4.ncks4' file into the NI controller editor" (from the original plug-in page by technz) - I double clicked the download and got the message installation successful, but I do not have the option to choose a mapper for the S4 within the VDJ config menu?

Any help would be much appreciated!
