Topic: Why is DJ equipment so crap?

For as long as I can remember I've always used technology as part of my show, one thing I struggled with was the low spec offerings from the manufactures that specialised in DJ equipment and the price of the crap.

I've been looking about and found this 1 u unit and think it's a great addition to any rack, USB, SD & 1TB HD plus more.

Cause It's all about moving units, cheaper means more consumers, poor quality also means more replacements, which means more units move, which means more profit, quality is a thing of the past, it went out when technics stopped producing turntables. But they will still be around for at least 10 - 20 more years as testament to their build quality.
 
To re-phrase the question, i'd say..., :

-Why the music we play now is so crap ?
or
-Why people not invest in proper home hi-fi anymore and use crappy laptop speakers ? (maybe because the music is crap ?)
or, Is Hi-Fi is dead ? ... i don't see hi-fi stores anymore like past decades..., and manufacturers now have only all in one cheap stereo systems..

-Why the today's music is so over-clipped / over-limited, over-compressed (see LOUDNESS WAR), and surprisingly sounds good only in crappy laptop speakers or radio and ONLY at low volumes ?
(And when you play loud in a proper system or pro equipment you get a headache and ear fatigue after the first 5 minutes...)

All these questions are like the chicken and the egg as you see...

It's Hungarian. It's a DVD/Video player with a built in hard drive. Not sure how it relates to DJ equipment though lol
