Hi folk.
I'm new to DJing and am trying out a few different packages to see what suits me. So far I've given SAM and VDJ a go and so far SAM seems to speak my language... its just very overpriced! So I wonder if you can help me with a few basic questions and perhaps help me see VDJ really can do it for me! (Its possible I've read what I need in the docs but it just hasn't registered... so go easy with me! :)
1. All I want to do is broadcast some tracks... add new ones as I go (requests and so on) and just have them auto-start and auto-fade at the right time (plus let me override that). But all I seem to get is the first track plays then everything stops till I specifically choose the next track in the list... what am I doing wrong?
2. If all I want to do is play music, what is the point of having more than one deck? The next track seems to go onto the same deck which to me is very unintuitive and highly confusing. Am I missing something?
3. How do I mute the sound so I can hear what's coming out at the broadcast end without having to use a second PC???
4. I've read the guide in this forum and I've looked for tutorials on the web, but they mostly seem to be to do with mixing or how to configure for broadcast. Configuration is fine... but can you point me at a decent tutorial on basic skills using VDJ? I figure once I'm used to the basics I can start to pick up the more complex stuff over time.
Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

Not sure which version you have, but the LE does not support Intelligent Automix Mode. Are you putting these tracks into the playlist located to the right of the browser? If so, what are your options (right click a tab) in the playlist. As for the auto playing in one deck, this allows you to listen, set bpms, or cue points to other tracks in the second deck. I don't know your setup, but can't you route the output to a mixer, and monitor from there?
