Topic: And now I wait...

Well, I did it. I ordered a Denon MC6000 this morning. I am having a bit of buyer’s remorse, but I am hoping, come Thursday when it arrives, that it will go away. I have been looking at these or a while, and honestly I can't find a reason NOT to get it. Anyway, I just had to share, If anyone has any encouraging words, I’ll take them. =) have a great day.

buyers remorse always happens untill your new unit arrives and you realise that there is justification for your purchase. just think o all the fun and happines it will bring you. it something you can teach your children too.
 
I think the 1st question that should have been answered is "can I afford it?"

At the 2009 DJ expo I played with the Pioneer MEP 7000 and loved it. I thought about it when I got back and bought it. I couldn't really afford it then and knew it would take a lot of gigs to recoup the expense. I did end up recouping it but only because of my regular club work where I do not use the unit. So far from mobile gigs I have not broke even. The only advantage of getting the unit was a business expense

Since becoming a Dave Ramsey fan, looking back on that decision...it was a bad decision as I didn't really NEED the unit, I just WANTED it really bad

How do you like it vs. the VMS4?

I bought my VMS4 at last years expo, and I got a great deal on it. Denon was showing off a non working MC6000 unit and it looks solid, but the price was crazy high for me. Not even a year later I've had to send my VMS4 in for service, and I am almost regretting not waiting for the Denon unit... but again, I got a really good deal on the VMS4 while at the show... it sort of justified it at the time...
 
"Can I afford it?" yup that wasn't an issue. I have plenty of gigs to keep me busy, no kids, no wife and work a mon-fri job. Did i need it? no, not really. My gigs went just fine using a mouse and keyboard. Im really looking to streamline my gear and this seemed like a logical choice.

I had issues with the VMS4 right off the bat. I liked the layout of it but did not feel comfortable using it anywhere but at home. I am quite pleased with the MC 6000 no problems at all.
