is there any way to stop me being logged out after a set period of time? i just spent about 20 mins typing an update to my probelms with citronic and the phone rang, so i answered the call, came back and finished my update, hit send and my efforts were deleted because id been logged out.
is there some way to stop this? or is it possible to get some sort of feature on the forum/server that stops our efforts being wiped if the net drops or we get logged out?
ive seen it on numerous occasions where members have mentioned having typed replies to threads and their work has been wiped.
please help.

Providing that nobody else has access to your computer, tick the 'remember me' option when logging in.
Alternatively, if you have been away from your computer or have been writing a long reply, before clicking SAVE, press CTRL+A followed by CTRL+C to copy your text (You can also do this while typing to 'backup' your message.)
Should you lose it due to being logged out, simply write a new message/reply and then press CTRL+V to paste your text.

fixed, used the delete individual cookies option in firefox, deleted all VDJ cookies. re-visited the forums, logged in with the remember me box checked and hey presto.

I've always had this on all my computers with the VDJ Forum.

i have a feeling that because i updated my password when i became a pro user the cookie somehow got screwed up. deleting and allowing it to be replaced fixed it instantly.
seems strange how youve had the problem more than once charlie. are your privacy settings set too high maybe? thus blocking cookies from vdj.
