so today i go over to see the kids at their mums house and she offers me some dinner. so me being me and loving food said yes.
on being asked what i wanted i said "surprise me"
well, surprised i was to be brought a plate containing, 2 plain palm sized burgers and 4 new potatos rolling around the plate.
no side salad, bread, buns , sauce, beans, toatoes or any other offerings... man was i surprised, so surprised in fact i was literally gobsmacked.
to top it off, the potatoes were sitll half raw. sigh..she came back from the kitchen a second time with offerings of the same "meal" for the children.
needless to say i wasnt pleased and got up to fix us all some proper food.
now i know she has the 3 children to run around after all day and night, but surely dinner could have been bit more exciting.
anyway, rant over...

Unfortunately a lot of modern women have no pride, even some of those that are full time mums with no jobs can't even provide good meals for the family because their lazy or just plain selfish, ungrateful and inconsiderate.
Attitude is everything, a woman should have a good attitude when it comes to cooking, she should put a lot of effort into it. When bringing up a family it's the most important thing. My girl is always learning new recipes.
I would get her a cooking book at christmas and her birthdays for the sake of the kids if I were you.

Wanted to use the old get food feature in VDJ but had no wifi and even if I had I forgotten how to do it, I wish DJ Dad and the others would inc a button on every skin they did. Actually it should be VDJ policy that they have to :)

as it happens charlie i have bought her several cook books and all of them end up in the junk drawer. i even purchased several kids cookbooks so my daughter and sons could have mum help them cook their own dinner. those too ended up in the junk drawer, each time i go round i get them back out in the hope she will use them.
well im visiting again tomorrow but this time im going to cook "again". im thinking maybe lasagne, or carbonara maybe. or some sort of chinese food. not too sure yet, ill see what i fancy tomorrow. might make some chicken parmasan. man i love food...
why do these modern women not take pride in their cooking?? i suppose due to all the equality, they forgot the way to a mans heart..

Really this thread is lame. Its pretty sad that youd put the mother of your children out there like even if you dont get along or are no longer together. Thats the mother of your kids for crying out loud!! Instead of ripping on her you should man up, which I see you did, but that doesnt give you the right to bitch. hey we all bitch sometimes huey, and believe me she is a great mother..just a bad cook lol..though saying that she cooks a mean roast..
and to be fair, she even admits it was the lamest meal she has ever cooked.. shes laughing about me dissing her on the forums...it could be worse it could have been facebook. lol. we have a good friendship and ofter diss each other over random stuff. its all part of the fun. jj
we get along great too, just to clear that up. im not putting her out there in an attempt to be insulting. more to share the comedy of the meal. cooking isnt one of her things and we all know that. but come on lol. 2 burgers and 4 tiny potatos???

Get food is a button that launches google maps/takeaways - you just add you post code or location and it returns the results of the nearest places to eat. I've found it useful in the past.
Couldn't find anything on it in the search.
