Topic: Jittery Rhythm window

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

On the VDJ timeline at the top that scrolls with the music, it tends to be a little bit jittery... not super smooth... especially with video. The platter wheels and the Playlist window flyout are also a bit jittery. I imagine this is resource related.

However, I am using a SONY VAIO with i5 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M video card, Windows 7 64 bit, 4GB RAM, with the Denon MC6000, ASIO driver version 2.2. I would think this would be plenty powerful enough.

Any suggestions for smoothening this out?

I have a dell xps17 i7 with an Nvidia-555 3gig card. I'm in the same boat..just do a search on Nvidia and sandybridge laptops. For some reason VirtualDJ7 will only run on the highend video on the extended video window and not the desktop! Even when forced told to run only on highperformance! I've tried Dell support and they were useless. Now i've opened a ticket with Nvidia..and waiting to hear from them.

ive had this problem in the past and it is most definitley a problem with the computers resources being choked by something.

on a regular basis after giving your computer a tune up (stop unused startup items (start > run > msconfig > startup), rid your computer of all windows sounds, animations, aero, un needed fonts, sidebar, un used programmes, un necessry desktop icons) , you should

defrag, disc clean up, scan with malwarebytes antialware, scan with antivirus, remove all redundant files.

My xps is used only for djing. Its optimized. No Wifi No aero no widgets background proccesses at minimum etc...i've been trying to fix for 2 months. Its a driver issue with I7/ I5 core processors with Nvidia dual graphics cards! More people will notice as they upgrade to new laptops..unless issue is fixed.

This is a brand new laptop with virtually no internet exposure, other than Windows update. I will go thru the check list tommorrow morning though. I hope it's not a driver incompatibility with VDJ... that would suck.

In the config menu under the performance tab do you have quality resizing or fast resizing checked. I'm on my zoom so I don't know if those are the exact names used but their towards the bottom. Check fast and see if that helps.

OK, well I just went through this entire list. The only thing that made a noticeable improvement was checking FAST RESIZING instead of Quality Resizing. Still not perfectly smooth, but much better.

I am currently using the default 1440x900 skin. However, my screen is 1600x900. Is there a default skin sized at 1600x900 that I can use without having to re-size?

Yes, find the skin that matches. I have a XPS15 sandy bridge running a 1920x1080 skin looks smooth. Any other res is jerky. If not dont full screen it. Also use fast resizing/ Just go to the skin page an sort by resolution. I just wish VDJ would make the factory skin in a few more resolutions.

thanks,
David

OK I installed the CONDENSED 1600x900... now it's pretty smooth.

This skin has some nice features.... especially that the VIDEO files are identified in the browser with a prominent "V"! I think the font is a bit bigger too.

In two months..all ive gotten is slightly less jittery by tweaking settings. If i move mouse over the spinning decks or the wave window..the image still freezes. Has anyone with a sandy bridge laptop I5 or I7with an Nvidia & Intel optimus graphics cards been able to get flawless smooth waves (especially when moving mouse cursor over them)?

Yes. This may or may not be your issue but here you go, see: http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/143052/PC_Version_Technical_Support/New_Sandy_Bridge_2nd_gen_laptops_Video_Jockey_issues__WOW.html?search=sandy bridge&page=1

"I just got a Dell XPS15 (2nd Gen Sandy Bridge) with the Nvidia GT 540m. It worked for a little bit on the Nvidia card by adding the program under the Nvidia 3d settings. After installing the newest Nvidia driver it would no longer open. I found that I could add it but it would disappear after closing the control panel. I found I could add itch.exe with no problem. I figured it must be an issue with the underscore in the file name. I removed the underscore and now VDJ will open using the Nvidia card.

can anyone pls help me wiith a new skin

I have this issue when I maximize the skin. As long as i leave it the default size it works fine. But then again i dont mind the skin not filling the entire screen.

I get this issue but only when video mixing between different video types. My VOB files mix seemlessly. However when I mix back to an audio track the clipbank video - whihc I craeted in Pinnacle Studio HD, causes the jitter.

I've played with saving the video in various different ways, frame rates etc., but it doesn't seem to solve the problem.

It's a work in progress.
