I installed on my mac no problem. will it support DJ2GO ?

VirtualDJ v7.0.4 Pro has native built-in support for the Numark DJ2Go.

Ok... little confused. I just downloaded 7.0.4Pro-mac. (Previously running 7.0Pro-mac). When I get finished installing, instead of "updating" my current version in the applications folder, it makes a new "Virtual DJ Pro Full" application and my current "virtualdj" is right beside it.

Am I doing something wrong when I install it? All of my previous updates have never done this. I always just have one Virtualdj application to click on after an update.

Thanks for the help.

VirtualDJ new installer creates now a different icon (new name). they should both launch the same application, but if not, use the one that says Virtualdj Pro Full.

Is there an anticipated release date for 7.0.5?

This update is supposedly going to fix the bug on Home that makes it impossible to cue with a basic external soundcard for more than 10 minutes.

Hello,

please redownload the Home Free version from our Website. There is an update called 7.0.4b that should fix the Cueing problem.

@jakovski

You are indeed correct. Thank you very much for your quick response.

I just wish I would have asked here sooner. I tried getting an answer on another board but to no avail.

Thanks again.

Man Vdj 7 Rock'z!!!!!!!

installation bug fixed! (would ended up with 2nd copy and not the database!)...GREAT!!

There is a firmware update for the cdj850. Now doesn't crash when switching from pc to cd, even if using the sound card on the cdj.
Does crash if you go pc to usb.

can someone help me add an echo(reverb) to the mic (for rmx) pls help really need this effect

Just installed on mac. No problems so far.

Ok silly question...I own Cue, which I paid the same price for as VDJ. I have 7.0.2 and cannot get the upgrade to 7.0.4, and when I click on the Virtual Dj Pro link it states that I can upgrade from Cue to Pro for $50, why? I paid the same price for Cue which is the same software, just delivered differently.

Thanks!

Because Numark take longer to "approve" new releases basically.

Cue is a product sold and marketed by Numark, however for the $50 you can cross grade to Atomix Virtual DJ and always be sure of the newest releases independent of what happens at Numark.

I know it sounds silly as you paid the same for essentially the same software, but that's just the way it is :)

Thank you for your response Keith. That is correct, that's why I said silly :) Atomix is the creator of both versions and it is stated so on both, just Numark as you said market's it. According to VDJ Cue and Virtual are essentially the same the only difference is the distribution channel. Which if you ask me is a little bit of ripping off the consumer to charge $50 more for a product they already own and paid the same amount for. Perhaps that is something VDJ should look into correcting. It is unfair to ask for them to pay extra if it is essentially the same. They should then be completely different and marketed as such and not listed as essentially the same, so that the end user does wind up having to wait or paying extra. It should just be the same program in the end, no Cue, Just VDJ.
Just my two cents :)

Fair comment .... I guess one of the teamers can explain the reasons behind the decision. I know this has been covered many times in the past but the outcome has always been the same.

Keith

It's called a Business Contract ... there are stipulations that must be followed - i.e. Numark approving the release for the version that bares their name.

So, Numark Cue is a product of Numark and powered by the VirtualDJ engine. So, if you want to cross-grade to the VirtualDJ brand from the Numark Cue brand - we offer that option at a very low cost.

To further what Cstoll has said. We offer you an "I can't wait" option. In no way are we saying you have to crossgrade, its an option if you don't want to wait for their release. We did this because users demanded it, Atomix has a fine history of giving people what they want or ask for.

You do have the same exact software but with a different brand name. Numark just takes longer to release updates (as stated before) and upgrades.

For $50 to get all updates for free for life and not wait is a no brainer to me. I was ready to pay $300 then I found out I have a discount because of my hardware. I was like a pig in sh*t.
