people often forget to do the one thing that is consistently posted when downloading fresh video drivers. uninstall previous drivers first, then reboot, the install the new ones. there is actually a very good tech reason for it and a lot of the problems people have had are great examples of what can happen doing it the usual way which is just installing new drivers and going forward. i'm not bagging on anyone though, i'm just as guilty. it would be nice if their was an auto uninstall/cleanup reboot then reinstall in all driver suites as some do, but to give credit, most driver companies DO warn users.

I'm soooo not technical but from what I'm reading a PC with windows 7, 64 bit, has trouble streaming video but with 32 bit it does not?
I have a Viao with W7, 64 bit, i3 core, 4 GB ram. My videos are very choppy while on my MacBook using XP the videos are fine. This makes me think it has something to do with this discussion but I can't follow it with enough depth of knowledge to grasp it.
Also, using the same audio setup config that works perfectly on the Mac w/ XP, the Viao outputs both decks through one channel. Also a 64 bit connection?
Thanks,
Jay

For what its worth, I have read all the related posts. I am by no means knowledgeable on computers. But I have only recently experienced a similar issue to everybody else. I'm running Win7 on an Acer 5742 Intel i3 CPU 2.53Ghz 8Gb Ram. I had absolutely no problems until the last week. Then for no reason all my videos we're blocky and jumpy. Unchecking the hardware accelerator smoothed out the problem, but then I could'nt extend vdj to an external monitor. None of the sonique effects worked without the hardware accelerator being checked either. To say I was really panicking, was an understatement. I needed an answser, and quick.
Taking note what has been said, I decided to roll back my graphics display driver. Hey, presto, the problem was immediately irradicated. Sonique working again in conjunction with video streaming. And all videos running perfectly smoothly and seamless transitions.
For me I googled ehow.com ask how to roll back graphics driver in Win7. Full instructions took less than five minutes to follow. I took a screen print of the window showing display driver version and date before rolling back, so I could reinstall if it failed.
I rolled back graphics driver as per instructions, rebooted system, and open VDJ7.05b, loaded videos and external monitor, and it works just fine. If its of any help to anybody else, here's the link I used. Good luck

My most recent driver was Ver 8.15.10.2509 dated 31/8/2011
I've rolled it back to Ver 8.15.10.2302 dated 11/2/2011
