Ok so Ive got VDJ Pro(Basic) and right now Im preparing for a gig. I need a little help with a few things. One does anyone have a clean playlist I can use at a highschool dance?? Two my laptop has the proper requirements but for some skins VDJ says I don't have a high enough screen resolution. s there anyway I can get my laptop screen fixed or upgraded to a higher resolution?? And finally my computer freezes up from high cpu usage is there anyway I can fix that? Thanks For Any Help and Comments Provided

1. Where are you getting your music from? PromoOnly, Top hits and TMstudio offer clean or radio edits.

1. Im getting my music from cd's, itunes, and grooveshark(from VDJ)

3. Is your video card integrated or dedicated? Is it your screen that freezes or the screen that outputs to the client that freezes, or both.

Uhh i dont exactly know what that means I dont have anything going out to clients and I guess my video card is dedicated cuz it came with my laptop. My screen freezes but all the music plays fine just cant control or move anything for an unknown period of time then everything comes back its pretty weird.

Dedicated means it has it's own memory, and not sharing the system memory. List the make and model of your computer.

is very bad that many people think they are technician, the problems is not virtual dj, the problem are the new controllers and drivers of your video card, uninstall the drivers version you have installed or came with your lap or pc and install an older version(look for an older version by the model of your video card, and you will see in task manager virtual dj never will take all the ram memory, we have been studyng this problem and found several fixes, but the only that works better, was uninstalling new drivers and installing an older drivers version before 2010, all work fine, the probblem is that the new drivers take de ram phisycal memory as videocard memory, mixing the video card internal memory with phisycal, so the virtual dj will take the total, memory detected by the system.
please stop trying to help asking the same all the time dont try to be a technician. this is not a virtual dj software problem is a drivers.

let's take one catastrophe at a time ......
AMaHM mentioned Promo Only ...if you have enough lead time before your gig sign up with them and get at least
the Mainstream Radio for 90 days or more....that'll give you clean new music otherwise you are gonna have to
download with netsearch and preview the trax to make sure they are clean
screen resolution .....what version of VDJ are you using .....there is no such thing as Pro Basic....
if you have pro please register it and you can use many skins that work well....
if you have basic here's what to do.....
right click your desktop click screen resolution......
select a screen resolution that is bigger than the skin
next catastrophe freeze ups ......you could use more RAM ......
click ctrl/shift/esc ......at the bottom left it displays the number of processes running.....since you only have 3 gig of ram
if you have more than say, 36 processes running , now is the time to say
"holy crap , I need GameBooster" .....so.... download free GameBooster and put 'er to some good use .....
next download free CCleaner .....run the cleaner and the registry cleaner ....
next defragment that filthy mess .....(all programs/accessories/system tools/defragmenter)
now reboot and your as good as yer gonna get .....for free .......
next time you use VDJ run GameBooster and it will reduce background processes and this may stop the freezes
if it doesn't there are still a few things you can do....you need to have a clean stripped down computer because you
have an underpowered system so uninstall the crap you don't need
if you were smart and bought a desktop instead of a laptop , it would be easy to add some ram , even doing it
yourself, but you can usually still add ram to a laptop
i thought "dedicated" meant a woman that hardly fools around on ya , but ....learn somethin' new everyday , i quess

There is such thing as Virtual DJ Pro Basic which has all the benefits of the Pro Full version which you are currently using, less some features such as MIDI support and full screen video output. All details can be found in the Comparison chart

His copy of Pro Basic is registered to his account. All LE, Broadcaster and Pro Basic users are listed as Limited Edition User.

Pro Basic ? that's confusing .....
i recommend one be Pro and the other Basic ......
the admonition to please register ? ....unfortunately there are users out there trying to figure
whether to use there LE that came with there controller or that (sometimes very old) version that they " bought "
used .......

there is no way that laptop has 2.75gig ram available, 64 bit OS both vista and W7 use 2 gig just for the OS. minimum requirements.
also you can use a memory stick/sd card etc to speed up your system with the built in ready boost. add more ram as quick as you can plug in usb/sd memory.

this works for both W7 and Vista.and is 80-100 times faster than regular catche reading from your internal hdd. i would suggest the SD route to save on usb ports. you can add as much as you want. theres some pretty good sized SDHC cards about now. up to 64gb. so you have the option to add as much as you want. but 2-4gig should do.
so if you take on board the advice about game booster nd also use an SD card ready boost, you should be running pretty smooth and a lot faster.
