Topic: No volume comtrol with RMX

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

I run my RMX through an external mixer so I can have a CD player ready in case of a freeze-up. I noticed that although the faders do control the VDJ faders, there is no volume control through the RMX, only my external mixer.

I haven't changed my mapping. What could be the problem?

What exactly is the problem? Are you not getting sound from the rmx? or when you lower the sliders all the way are you still getting sound? etc

And Which skin are you using? If you are using a 4 or deck skin, maybe the rmx is controlling the volume on the wrong decks?

I assume that you use the external mixer just for the extra cd player and actually not mixing with it. So the sound setup in the config, will be identical with the one you had before using that mixer. The only thing that changes now is that you route the output of RMX to an input channel of the external mixer, and from there to your AMPs.

In case some of your faders do not work as supposed to, try to verify if they are mapped as they should be, or else choose to revert the controller to factory settings.

Smiley: I am getting sound despite the RMX faders being at zero. The faders do make the VDJ faders move; only without any change in the volume. The only volume control is through the external mixer. Right now, I'm using the plain RMX 2-deck skin.

DJ Dad: You are correct; I'm not using the external mixer and cd player for mixing, only for back-up. I have channels 1 & 2 plugged into the left and right input of the external mixer, then the main out of the external into my powered speakers.

The sound configuration is none for the inputs; output are ch. 1 & 2 master, 3 & 4 for headphones; and soundcard set to RMX.
