I am using CDJ-400\\\'s for controllers and they work amazing. I want to make some adjustments to the keymap.
I need no CUE controls rather than the main CUE button, so I have the three FX buttons free for whatever I want.
Right now I set FX1 to \\\"effect 1 enable\\\" and FX2 to load the next effect.
I never use auto-beatmatch/sync or anything, I beatmatch by ear and sometimes I glance at the bpm (which is wrong for a lot of speedcore/dnb/thrash that I play) so I need no controls for that stuff.
What I REALLY want is a way to ADJUST the parameters (knobs) of the selected effect. Sure, I could program my scrollwheel for this, however that is used to select tracks from the library.
Any ideas? Any key settings I can use? Another small controller for effects?
Let\\\'s discuss and maybe we can all collaborate on some good ideas.

you could program the buttons as modifiers, and then change the mapping on the knob you use to select songs so that when it is in 1 mode it scrolls through songs and when a different mode it controls effect parameters.
map one of the usused buttons to something like this: set 'shift' 1 while_pressed and map the knob to var 'shift' 1 ? effect slider 1 : param_greater 0 ? browser +1 : browser -1" (leave out while_pressed if you want the button to change the mode until you press another button to change it back, or have 1 button toggle the mode on or off)
As for effects controllers, it depends how much money you're willing to spend. The Akai LPD 8 and the Traktor Kontrol X1 are good.
