Topic: Spittin on da Mic!

What do you guys like to say on the mic?

Example: I'm seen videos of DJ City rockin the term "The party IS NOT over." Which his crowd seems to get into, almost like a tag line.

I'm been pulling the Steve Carrell (The Office) lately and sporting "It's about to get all stupid up in here!" Which is working out good.

Any thoughts?

I try not to spit on my mic, to prevent the mic getting wet and to prevent the spread of germs...
 
Whatever comes to mind, because I just go with the flow! Yet one of the main things I spit on the mic is "Engine, Engine number 9" the crowd spits back and then I hit them with "The Choice is yours" and the crowd goes NUTS!

Just play with your crowd. Don't be afraid of your mic and HYPE up yourself and the party.
 
Hyping up the crowd helps your overall performance and creates a dynamic atmosphere for sure. Just avoid being on the mic too much or your audience will start thinking "will this guy ever just shut the f**k up?". A nice balance of music, shout-outs, and just some general hype works the crowd nicely.

This isn't just for the club & party guys, mobile & wedding DJs are welcome to chime in as well. How do you guys get things going?
 
I mix in a some very good illusion when I see it's getting down and use illusions using anyhing from Cards to Cars. Just keep in mind I am a Crhristian DJ working the it is cool to be Chirsian angle. I work with the crowd dancing etc, w/o being on he mic all the time. One of my favorite things to do I to mark the 4 eights in a with an invisable pen. On of he four wins a nice prize pack. The other 3 aren't so lucky they can pay $5 to totaly get out of a predetermined karaoke song or pay $2 to pass it on to someone else that can only happend three time. I do this 4 to 5 times a show. Also keep in mind I do not charge Churces except for traveling expenses. And every dime mad goes to hat Church. On July 1st my nephew was like a son to my will have his 17 birthday though was killed in a wreck. So, we are setting up a scholarship fund in is name. On July 1st we are expecting a turnout of at least 2k.
