Does the app work with the free version of Virtual DJ or do u need the full version? Also ppl say u need to make an ad hoc setting but I don't have Windows 7 so the tutorial can't help me.

Yes, iRemote will work with the latest VirtualDJ Home FREE v7.0.2 http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html
