i want to purchase a laptop but cant decide on what type of processor .. i was looking at the recomended system requirements and it was something like intel core 2 or amd athlon x2.. i was looking into a Toshiba with intel core i5 or i3. my question is which processor would fit best?
and whats the deffrence from both?

My advice is lots of RAM 4 GB with a 32 bit OS / 8 with a 64 bit, dedicated Video, 500 Gigabytes of Hard drive space or greater. Dell Inspiron 1750 i5 or E class Dual Core you can get for like 550$ on ebay.
It comes with dell onsite warranty. If you like to keep a lower profile with your dj laptop can always go smaller than 17.1 tft display. Windows 7 Home Premium or better, I had to disable speed step and a few other tweaks in the BIOS but it run like a champ. I store all my videos, karaoke, & music to its 1 TB drive (I installed myself with OS - I also have a freeagent drive everything is backup'd on to go with my netbook backup laptop)
In hindsight i would have purchased another macbook, my serato rig works flawlessly with VDJ & videos.
