I run all of my dj music off of virtual dj and use the hercules board, then my karaoke i use sax and dottys show presenter which play on winamp. If i am throwin down tunes on the virtual dj then switch over to show presenter to play karaoke it plays fine. but when i switch back to virtual dj and i hit play the music video will play but theres no sound till i reboot the computer. why is that? why cant i go program to program with no problem?

Which Hercules console are you using exactly ?
One thing you have to know is that all VDJ versions included wit DJ Consoles will work in ASIO audio mode.
When using Winamp and other similar programs, which only work in WDM, be sure that this mode is selected in the DJ Control Panel (near the clock) before launching the program.
VDJ should "normally" automatically switch between the 2 modes on launch and closing, but if it doesn't, manually switch to ASIO before launching it.
