I Get a sound distortion when i charge my laptop. When i disconect the power to the laptop it sounds good.
is there something i can buy or do to stop this from happening.

Could be all kinds of causes. Bad ground (ground loop)-search the forums for fix, ungrounded adapter, faulty adapter, CPU/ Video card power management. Could be some program or Windows see's the power source change and is doing something it is not suppose to do.
Had the same issue recently, had to go with a higher wattage adapter. I was using the ac/adapter that shipped and was validated to run on my PC, but my mixer/sound card decided it was not going to run with it anymore. I think this issue is fixed but need a week or 2 since the problem is so intermittent, if not its a hardware fault on my sound card.

I use two Dell Latitudes and have several Power Supplies for them. One of the Power Supplies presents this problem on either machine. possible you have a bad PS? how does it sound with, say, winamp or windows media player?
