Topic: No sound with ASIO4ALL

Hello. I'm wanting to use a microphone with VirtualDJ and when i select from the config, "inputs - Microphone" it selects the ASIO4ALL driver, this usually works with FLStudio but its not with VirtualDJ

I'm trying to use my USB webcam mic for the microphone but its just saying that its "Idle" and so are all of the Audio inputs..

What can i do to get these to work?

What sound card are you using?

It would be better to start by using a decent pro sound card that has ASIO drivers, rather than trying to bodge a domestic consumer card by installing ASIO4ALL.
 
Hello. I'm currently using my laptops stock soundcard, Connexant HD Audio.

It usually works no problem when i use FLStudio but it just seems to not work at all on VDJ.

Do you have any idea how to start devices from being idle?
 
OK the first problem is that laptop sound cards are not ASIO compatible.

Second is that a webcam mic is not really what you should be using.

If you want to use a mic, plug an external mic into the mic input of your laptop. That way, the software is much more likely to see it and enable the mic channel.

In other words, do things properly rather than trying to bodge it with the wrong equipment!
