iv not long had my vms4 and have just got it set right with the help of djdad mapper for 4 decks...
i only use it for mixing oldskool hardcore and other rave choons, and these are all rips from vinyl, but im finding that the sound quality is shocking.
they sound muffled and no where near crisp enough to play on the radio. i used to use a berringer bcd300 and never had any problems with the quality of sound. i know this depends on how they were ripped and at what quality. but this dosent account for how bad they now sound from the vms4 internal sound card. the play fine without the vms4 on vdj or with the bcd300 or even from windows media player but not from the vms4 ???
my setup is as follows:
virtual dj and the vms4 for mixing, the output from the booth line goes into another pc for broadcast by winamp&shoutcast
i have tried useing the master output for broadcasting and have tried both both and master output for input to the speakers, but no matter what configuration i tried the sound isnt the best as sounds muffled. even if i change the high mid and low i cant get a good sound. but this is only 60% of the tracks i have show the problem the rest sound perfect
