I have a mac book pro 2008, with a vextax typhoon. one problem i'm having is i'm hearing songs from both channels. can someonehelp?

Make sure that it is configured for 4 channel audio in MacOS:
* Open the Utilities folder inside your Applications folder. Double-click on Audio MIDI Setup.
* In the Properties for: drop-down, choose the Typhoon
* In the Audio Output section, choose 4ch-16 bit.
* Now go into VirtualDJ, and set the following in the sound options:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card(s): 4 out card.
Sound card: Typhoon
* Check the position of the headphone mix knob in VirtualDJ - This determines how much of the live output is heard in the headphones. Use default VirtualDJ 7 4 deck skin to check and adjust this (MIX knob at the top-right of the screen.)
