Hey all,
I have the virtual dj pro version. I use 2 cdj1000 mk3 with a djm800 mixer and a numark virtual vinyl soundcard box and serato second edition vinyls.
I also have a behringer bcd3000 for the video control portion as the djm only fades the sound and not picture.
All of this is run on a Macbook Pro. The version of VDJ is 7.0.2.
I am curious to know how i can out put the video projection out to a tv or projector without having the decks and mixer showing. I only want to project the music videos.
The mac specs are:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro7,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 4 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 320M:
Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 320M
Type: GPU
Bus: PCI
VRAM (Total): 256 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
Device ID: 0x08a0
Revision ID: 0x00a2
ROM Revision: 3533
Displays:
Color LCD:
Resolution: 1280 x 800
Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888)
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Built-In: Yes
I use a Mini-DVI to Video Adapter from the apple store to connect the Macbook to the tv screen/projector.
Please help :s
Thanks,
Dorian

You can use DJM-800's crossfader to control the video crossfader too. You will need to connect the DJM-800 to your laptop via USB-MIDI interface.

would have said through a capture card on the pc but think you can record through your mac without the need for the pc

mac version has no rec function which is a problem. pc version does but cant handle video mixing but used to do it fine. It would be able to record video out

I don't believe this happens.... ;-) It's a drop down menu, there should be WINDOW and YOUR GRAPHIC CARD below it. Did you connected your TV with laptop over HDMI? Is your graphic card set to output to EXTENDED screen?
