Topic: vdj pro help

I have two laptops one that stays with my dj gear and one that I take on the go. My question is can I install the 299.99 program on two laptops or will I have to buy two programs?

1. PERMITTED USE AND RESTRICTIONS

You are granted one license to:
- install and use the Software on one computer.
- install and use the Software on a second computer, if this computer is normally used by the same person and the Software will not be used on both computers at the same time.
- make back-up copies of the Software for archival purposes.

This license does NOT allow you to:
- rent, lease, sell, lend, distribute, publish, bundle or sublicense the Software or any part of it.
- rent, lease, sell, lend or distribute hardware on which the Software is installed, unless specifically authorized by Atomix Productions.
- electronically transfer the Software from one computer to another or over a network.
- decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise reduce the Software to a human-perceivable form.
- modify the Software or create derivative works based upon the Software.

you can have it on 2 systems

keep your old version and downgrade to it if a new update is glitchy

all updates are free

whenever you acquire a new update , it is only fair to yourself and your

audience to assume that it's possible to encounter glitches ( that probably are not common to all)

and therefore give it a few test rides before using it at a gig .....

The End User License Agreement (EULA) allows you to have the software installed on up to two computers at any one time, providing that they are both for your own personal use and will not be used simultaneously (E.g: Second installation as a backup or for practising at home is OK, allowing a friend or another DJ to use it is NOT allowed.)

You may also uninstall the software from an old computer and then install it onto a new computer.

NOTE: If you intend to sell, give away or dispose of an old computer, you must remove VirtualDJ from it first.

I purchased the Mixtrack Pro that CAME WITH the VDJ CD. I entered my code on the VDJ installation CD and installed it and it was working fine. After having it for 20 days I can no longer go to the configure tab and configure my sound. It gave me a message that I had to upgrade to Virtual DJ Pro for $149.00. I don’t want VDJ Pro All I want is to use the software that it came with however it wont allow me to configure anything. When I click the configure tab it does not allow me to configure the sound yet it gives me a message stating that I have to upgrade to VDJ Pro. I don’t want VDJ Pro. Does anyone know what I can do to get my software back where I can configure my sound without upgrading to DVDJ Pro?
 
Sorry, the software that you received with your MixTrack Pro is a free limited edition (LE) and does not allow custom skins, effects, etc. to be used or the program configuration options to be changed (Except during the 20 day trial of Pro.)

To be able to use custom skins, effects and much, much more you will need to upgrade to VirtualDJ Professional: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

If you have configured advanced sound options that are not available in LE, then you can use Home FREE for 10 minutes http://www.virtualdj.com/download/free.html to set your sound options back to how they should be for LE, i.e:

Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones
Sound card: Numark

Click APPLY and exit the software before the 10 minutes is up.
 
Is the VDJ pro Basic glitchy? That is what I may upgrade to? I am only upgrading because I would like to configure my headphones to a manual change when I load to a deck as appose to the automatically change to a specific deck when loading a song. I guess the upgrade to VDJ Pro Basic will take care of that yes?

If we cant quote, why in the hell is the tool there for members to use? If the Administrators dont want members to use the quoting tool then why in the hell dont they just REMOVE THE TOOL? I paid my money to be a member just as you did so what right do you have to tell me that I cant use the quoting tool. I think it helps very much. It serves as a direct response to the person whose post you are responding to. I am going to continue to use the quoting. If you dont like it administrators then remove the quoting tool. You administrators need a life you guys are taking this "cyber police" thing way too serious, I mean way too serious. It is not that serious people trust me its not!

It is there to be used correctly and appropriately, for example when responding to a message that was posted earlier in the thread, so other readers know exactly who you are responding to and what you are referring to, or briefly high-lighting the particular question or point in the message that you are replying to/answering (See example above.)

Copying the entire message that was posted directly before your own reply is both pointless and makes the thread longer and more difficult to read.

No, VirtualDJ Pro Basic is not glitchy. It works well for most users.

However, it is not a good upgrade option for you because it does not support the use of MIDI controllers such as your MixTrack Pro: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html

The best upgrade option for you is to upgrade to the full Pro at a discount: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html

It will both allow you to use the MixTrack Pro and make configuration changes. You can also optionally use custom skin, effects, etc. from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/index.html
