Hey, so I am DJing at new years on a laptop using virtual DJ Free.
Just wondering if someone can shed some insight into technicality as I'm pretty n00b to the software.
IF I am to purchase a USB sound card, will the "FREE" software allow me to use both sound cards, as in.
One to the PA system for the live track,
Then use the USB sound card as my queue track for blending songs and mixing?
They only want me to do basic stuff, I don't really call myself a "dj" just want to be able to blend tracks nicely?
Thanks in advance!

VirtualDJ Home FREE supports master output through the computer's built-in sound card and headphones through a basic USB sound card.
External multi-channel sound cards are not supported.
NOTE: VirtualDJ Home FREE is for non-commercial (Unpaid) use only. For commercial use, you will need to purchase a VirtualDJ product: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
