I'm told the forums are full of tweaks, but can't seem to find a single one. Is there a sticky someplace I'm missing or...?
I mainly want to see if there's anything I should do for an out of the box lappy. It performs awesome as is, but I am having a few issues, such as:
- I always have to unplug, then plug back in my two Denon 3700 decks before they'll be recognized in VDJ. I have them going through a hub and never unplug anything except for when it doesn't work.
- The right 3700 doesn't seem to be as responsive as the left one. Could this be a problem with the deck? idk, maybe
- Once in a great while, the left deck will silence and rewind like a second or so and continue playing, without me even touching anything. It seems to do this early in a set and that's it. Really weird. I've seen this on 2 of my machines. One is the Win7 64bit, the other is on a 32bit Vista machine, both running VDJ 7.02.
Overall this machine is great. Running extended desktop and scratching 2 videos, the CPU doesn't go over like 30%. It's a HP Pavilion dvt 4190us if you're wondering. Paid $1200 11/26/10.
Any suggestions would be great.

Start here
http://ts.hercules.com/faqs/eng/her_eng_00364.pdf
The link below will help remove bloatware that runs unnecessarily on your computer.
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,67264-order,1-page,1/description.html
Your sequence for start up might be a little too fast.
Boot
Put the 37's into Midi mode
Wait 20 seconds
Open the Denon asio panel and make sure they both are present and enabled.
Then open vdj.
They need to be assigned in config/mappers by clicking the top center button to corresponding decks.
Always connect to the same ports and if backwards, click one of the eject buttons once.
The both should react identically, there are no adjustments to change the responsiveness to one and not the other.

I really just want thing to run smooth. The system has plenty of power. The above helped, but I am still getting the one second resins dropouts though. I tried plugging the drive in its own port but that didn't seem to help.
