Are vob files the same that are in dvds? How can i get my dvd videos to play in vdj? which codec would i need to encode/decode these vob files?

Vob files are DVD files, yes. But you can make it by yourself from any other video file. You need to install Powrdvd or Windvd player. Codec comes with them.
