Hi,

I am new VDJ user, I just purchased 2-DN-S3700 and DN-X1600 mixer! After hours with Denon tech support I was able to connect VDJ to the DN-X1600. Now I am having a hell of a time getting the decks to work properly.

I have changed the damn midi ch set & unit no set to every combination possible and still can\\\\\\\'t get them to work right. Downloaded the firmware, mappers, drivers and spent all day on this and still no luck. I upgraded from my old system to make things better and so far I am ready to destroy something.

Why is this so difficult, Denon tech support told me I need to contact VDJ to resolve my deck issues. So please help.

You're not really providing enough details for anyone to be able to help.

You say you've got the mixer working with VDJ - so are you aiming to use the mixer as the sound card, and use the 3700s as just MIDI controllers?

If I were doing it, I'd tend to use the 3700s as the sound cards and feed the RCA outs from the 3700s to the mixer.

Please provide some more info on what exactly isn't working with the 3700s.

Just saying you "can't get them to work right" doesn't tell us much!
 
Yes, I am using the DN-X1600 as sound card and the DN-S3700’s as controllers.

1- After hours of work I solved the deck crisscross issue, I have to start the right deck first or they will crisscross left to right. Left deck ( ch 1, all) with right deck ( ch 1, all).
2- Latency issues
3- Auto loop will not stay in sync, every time the loop cycles the right deck falls behind SAME TRACK ON left deck
4- Sometimes the left deck platter will stop turning even though I can start and stop the deck
5- Big delay between the times I push play and when the track starts
6- I play a track and without me touching the decks the sound will cutout or slight scratch like, sound as if someone touched the platter
7- After I restart left deck when it lockup, the right deck will go nuts. I am thinking what happens when I am at gig and this happens?
8- I think since I started using the DN-X1600 as sound card things got worse.

I am strongly thinking about returning the equipment and going back to my old system. Can someone help me with this; I see videos on YouTube with the same equipment and software working properly.

1- What do I need to do to make this work?
2- Do I need external sound card?
3- Do I stop using the 1600 as a sound card?
4- Do I use Midi or hybrid? If hybrid, how would that work? When I pick hybrid mode they don’t connect vdj? How do you change the settings to make it work in hybrid?
5- Time codes or no time codes?

Things I have done in the last few days:

1. I did use the DPC computer latency checker software and everything is in the green.
2. Reloaded all drivers, mappers, and used two different laptops (windows 7 32bit & windows 7 64bits)
3.Tried different settings on vdj latency and performance.

you know dj e...I believe in the video you are referring to. the one that has the mixer and software working properly....the person in the video is using a Berhringer ddm4000 mixer not a x1600. However, I believe the concept is the same now matter what Sound card mixer you use. I've tried to contact him but he hasn't replied yet.

you use the vs setting on your mixer for hybrid - I have the dnx 600 and it works grt with hybrid midi
 
oops DVS setting and set for serato in mixer and use timcode very bottom option to wok in vdj --

I am experiencing the same issues, Yesterday Virtual Dj crashed at least 20 times while I was in Hybrid mode. For whatever reason whenever asio pickup the 1600 in hybrid mode it does not pick up the 3700's. In regular midi mode everything works great, but what the point of having hybrid mode with a native player and you cannot use it. I would like if any who has figured this for their assitance.
1. Is the 1600 suppose to show up as a sound card in the drop down menu in the soundcard selection in Vdj.
2. How do I route the channels in the 1600 correctly to get the sound working while using my 3700 time code in Hyrid mode che.
3. Do I have to change any settings in USB-A USB-B mode to assign channels.
4. Please post pictures video and clear information if you can my experimentation with this has been really hard. Thanks
 
I'm having the same problem in hybrid mode.. I set everything up just as it said... Cannot control VDJ.. I've looked all over this fourm and on the internet.. Nothing.. Can anyone post a video or maybe a tutorial??
