Topic: Question about DJs with turntables? CUEING

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hey well iv'e seen a few videos on youtube, and this guy i watch (DJ_BL3ND) he gets the other song and starts like not scratching it but it looks like scratching and its cueing, i use like MIXTRACK PRO so its alot easier to cue but how do you guys do it? and if you let go of the turntable it keeps on playing so you have to keep your hand on the turntable until the part comes up??

depends what you use.

If i use my midi controller mp3 e2 i use the jog wheel to move to where i want the track to start then press cue to set the cue point then when i want to mix the track i can use the cue to count in the beat so i know when to start the mix. The same with my cd mixer. With my technics i usually cue the track to where i want to start the either hold it with my hand scratch it which is similar to the cue function or press the start button (which is one of the reasons technics is the turntable standard)

The use of crossfaders when cueing adds to the effect of your mix when done right.

Hope that helps.

I usually use two copies of the same track and mix between them.
