Hi Everyone.
I have a Sony Vaio VPCEC2S0E Laptop it's running Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit it has 6Gigs of memory and has a intel i5 cpu m430 @ 2.27ghz. Does anyone else use this laptop with virtual DJ 7 Pro? I am wanting to use it for Mobile Discos with a Denon HC4500 Midi controller. I have used a Sony Vaio before and used the soundcard on the laptop and found that it sounded much better than the AISO sound card on the denon HC4500. What I would like to know is this can the Denon Midi Controller work with the soundcard on the laptop or do I have to use the Asio Soundcard. If anyone can help with setting up virtual DJ with this Laptop with the best settings that would be great.

You don't have to use the 4500 inbuilt soundcard, but surely the one on the laptop is only single channel and you need 2 outputs to DJ with.
I have been using the 4500 inbuilt Asio card in ultra latency mode for ages and it is perfect so I can't see how you would think an inbuilt consumer level card is better?

thanks for your reply how do you put the HC4500 into Ultra latency mode?

There is a check box in the VDJ settings, but this should only be used on high spec systems that can handle such low latency. Not all systems can cope with this and it should be tested thoroughly first using the DPC latency tool to diagnose your system.
Using ultra latency mode doesn't change the sound at all.

the above says that this should be used on Hi spec Systems do you mean Laptop? I woud have thought that this laptop I am using is more than enough spec. I agree that I need to do some testing. My boss came along to a party that I was doing and said that it sounded a bit distorted so I was suprised. I was using a pair of Mackie SRM450 Speakers running through an Ecler Nuo 4 mixer I do want to get this sorted as Christmas is just around the corner. Thanks for your help

The laptop you have seems pretty decent.
It's just trial and error, what will work well for one person may not for another.
