hey guys,
i'm just getting into djing, i'v been playing around with virtual dj on my computer for about 4 months now and i think im ready to move on to the next step which i think would be getting an actual hands on controller, i've looked around and i think im gonna go with the hercules rmx, but i was just wondering what else i would need to be able to play an actual set for a school dance thats coming up, all i would have would be the hercules rmx, my laptop and my headphones. but i need to know about what i would need for anything as far as like an amp and speakers, or if i even need an amp, or anything else you can think of that i would need? any help with connections between everything would also help a ton. thanks!

Yes you need an amp and speakers, unless you go with powered speakers. Also cables;
I think it best if you visit your local dj store. (IE Sam Ash, Guitar Center etc)
They can help setting you up with the rest of equipment.
