Since there are so many of us here in the community, and there seem to be a lot using video, I was wondering what you use to project your videos when you are out at a show. I have seen the thread about the set up and I am more concerend with like a frontal view of what everyone is using. Are you using projectors ot TVs?? Why have you chosen to do so?
I want to add video effects, and the fantastic video intro made for me by BBB!!!
Just wondering what the experts use? If you could post pics of what your set up looks from the front ( Audience view) that would be a great help.
Thanks!!

if you look for the thread "this is my set up whats yours" you'll get an idea... there are some full frontal shots in there, lol.

Thanks Tayla. I had seen that thread before. Most of the shots are of the gear from the back (what we see). I was hoping to get some insight of the best way to show video. I'm thinking of just putting a flat screen tv on my table.....but a projector would be bigger....but where to put it etc. Just looking for some insight.

RKNROB -
I use an NEC VT540 projector, produced 10 years ago but a great unit.
I do front and rear projection depending on the venue/event.
I made my own rear projection screen but Santa is bringing me a lycra-spandex screen.
Maybe this one; http://www.globaltruss.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ItemNumber=408&Category=8&txtSearch=projection
here is the audience view of my rear-projection screen. It's rather small, only about 4.5ft x 5ft.

I'm considering the addition of two 36 inch LCD monitors for use at smaller parties or as filler at larger events.
Projection will give you more flexibility; size of image, placement, (I've projected on the back of a garage for SuperBowl parties and it looks great. 12.5 foot diag. image), and it is much easier to carry a projector than to lug in a few big monitors.
Good luck,
T

Nice. Rear projection is something I didn't think of. I'll have to look at specs for that kind of screen. I thought projector would be better too, but where to put the projector was the question. Rear projection.....hmmmmm
Thanks!
Thanks!

rear projection is great. keeps your gear safer. you can work in smaller space using a mirror to reflect your image.
and I think it looks more professional, but that's only an opinion/preference.
