I have a Hercules RMX and when I purchased it, along with it came version 5.2.2 of the OEM version of the software.
I see now that the home edition of Virtual DJ is at Version 7.
I assume that I could download and use that instead of the (older) OEM version that came with my RMX, or am I missing something?

I don't think the "Home eddition" is compatable with any controller

Itll work but for like 10mins so your best bet is to save and buy the pro version. You will get a nice discount cause of the RMX. Go here, http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html, then enter your keycode to see your price.

Oh, I think I see. The home edition is intended only to mix using the computer controls and no midi controller? I've always intended to buy the pro version someday but I don't work in clubs anymore (haven't since 1998 or 99) and just play with this for fun. :)
