Topic: What hardware....

Ok... so the more I think about it... the more I want to get some cheap-ish hardware.... ive been having a look around and I think* these will work with my macbook pro (intel)

It's hard to point someone in the right direction because it's really a matter of personal taste in the end. All I can really advise is to get one with a soundcard, unless you allready have and external 4channel one. The pricerange you specify gets you a decent controller. I have a Hercules mk4, because it is the cheapest one with a soundcard, I now find myself short of buttons but I think this will always be the case, no matter how much buttons you have (I am considering remaping the entire keyboard and buy and external keyboard to write the functions on the keys).

You could find a store where you can try the controllers to see which one feels the best, I think the differences are minimal. If you spend more money you get more knobs and sliders, that's basically it. Unless to are willing to spend hundreds/thousand of dollars of course.
