hi all, problem im getting is with effects on dj steel buttons via vdj7.
On the djconsole le version that comes with dj steel works fine, upgraded to the pro version, firstly tried 6.1.2, and also 7 and when trying to map the flanger effect to a button 1-12, it accepts the effect, but when you use the pf2 dials to control the density of the effect, it changes to echo and the light on the controller dissapears??? any ideas?
When i tried the le version again after upgrading all was getting was ??? on the screen where it usualy states flanger etc???
Is there a default midi mapp for the dj steel that I can load, as im not really into all the coding stuff..

obviously know one knows what im on about, 16 views and no responses!!!! but i think i have sorted it out now..
after playing about with the mapper function, i changed the settings from djc_button to effect active and djc_slider 1 to effect slider 1 etc and it seemed to work.
Must be where i upgraded for some reason, the steel still thinks that its running the DJ LE version, and not the pro version, so all the djc commands have to be changed not to reference djc.

i have bought a brand new hercules steel and plugged it on my laptop (pc). the problem is i cant get my head phones to work. i am using USB output from my pc to an external mixer and the sound is coming out but when i cue the next track in deck B, the sound on my big speakers automatically switches to the track i cued on deck B. how do i get it to cue in my head phones instead of my big speakers? please help

You would have more success getting an answer creating a new post rather than adding to a thread that has not relation to your problem...
Additionally, you also might want to be more specific about the audio configuration you are using in VDJ , as well as details your soundcard and mixer. "using USB output from my pc to an external mixer" doesn't tell much...

Be very careful when installing multiple versions of VDJ on the same computer. Some files in the Virtual DJ folder in Document might be overwritten and updated, which could create issues between versions.
