Hi Guys,
OK – I know *similar* questions have been asked before however I’d like a direct reply to my specific needs and was thinking here would be the best place to ask.
I am looking for a pair of CD players to use with VDJ – I want them to work as both a controller and a standalone CD player and so far have looked at the CDJ1000 and 2000. These are very nice alas they are out of my price range.
Ideally they will be midi based (this will then allow me to use my copy of *ahem ... Serato!)
What would you guys recommend – please note that my limit is £1000 (this is roughly $1600)

Try a set of used pioneer cdj 800 on ebay

CDJ-1000 or CDJ-800 isn't not a MIDI-controller, so you'd be able to use them only via timecode discs. I recommend Pioneer CDJ-400's instead if CDJ-850/900/2000 is outside your price range..

Go with American Audio Radius 3000. Half the price and just as good no matter what people say.
