Topic: DAC2 problems with VDJ7

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Greeting all! I've just defected from PCDJ-VJ and need help. I have 2 problems I hope you can aid me with:

1. I have VDJ7 and cannot get my DAC2 to work with it. The PCDJ had a drop down for controllers that would let me select the DAC2 once I loaded the drivers. I am lost as to how to get it to function with VDJ. I may need a "VDJ For Idiots" lesson here. If anyone can give me step by steps I would appreciate it.

2. One of the final straws in moving from PCDJ-VJ was that with Windows 7 I had problems with the video. If I loaded a video into deck 1 and another into deck 2, once the video in deck 2 played, if I didn't immediately load another song into deck 1, the video hung, but the misic played. I hoped this would be fixed when I purchased VDJ, but the problem remains. Any ideas out there?

In case you need to know, here are my specs:

HP Envy 17 I.7 x64
8 gig RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD5850 1G

Thanks for any help you can lend.

To use the DAC-2, you will need to enable support for serial devices.

Go to CONFIG -> Mappers, click on the button to the right of the drop-down list and tick Use serial devices.

Then click on the button again and choose to Rescan for new devices.

Unless you have automix enabled, VirtualDJ will not automatically load the next song on a deck. You must do this yourself.

Thank you immensely!
It does work albeit in a limited fashion. It seems in every version it loses some usage. When I had FX it was able to scroll grouplists, songlists, everything it was supposed to do. In PCDJ VJ, it lost the ability to scroll grouplists, sublists, but would scroll songlists if you held the "load" button while scrolling with the inner wheel. Now it has no scrolling abilities at all which makes it not much better than using the keyboard and a mouse. Is this a mapping issue? Maybe time to move on?

On the other issue with the video hanging, I am aware of auto play. What I am saying is that when not in autoplay, if I have a video playing in either deck 1 or 2, when that video ends, when I start the next video in the opposite deck, the new video will start playing for maybe a second or 2 and then hang up. the audio plays fine. The only thing that corrects the hanging video is if I load a song into the opposite player before, I presume, the buffer is used up, causing the playing video to hang. I never had this problem with XP, only in Windows 7 and it appears, only when I am utilizing the extended output for remote, ie: projector, etc. Possibly a setting in the video card?

One of these days I'll know it all too and be able to help people like I did on the "other place's" boards. Until then, all you can help me with is much appreciated.

In VirtualDJ, each button of a controller is mapped to do exactly what it says on the controller. You may optionally customise the buttons to suit your own preferences using the VDJscript feature of VirtualDJ (See below.)

You can also download customised mappings made by other users from http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/controllers.html (There are a couple for the DAC-2 on these pages.)

For basic instructions on how to add or change a mapping, please see:
