Topic: Single Timecode and VDJ 7

由于该帖子已年深日久,可能包含陈旧过时或描述错误的信息。

Hello everybody,

I've figured out a problem with the single timecode settings in the new VDJ version.

I'm using a Technics 1210 MK2, Shure m44-7 and Serato v2 timecodes.

The problem is: I only can controll 1 deck...
E.g. On version 6 I just selected single timecode as Input and soundcard my RMX and was able to controll both decks.
Just by selecting deck 1 (with the button on the rmx) or deck 2.
Now on V7 that is not possible (for me).
This is what I'm doing:

Select deck 1 and start the TT. Song on deck 1 starts play. Thats right.
Now, if I select deck 2 (deck 2 is know selected on skin and rmx) and I touch the vinyl to cue song 2 on deck 2, it immediatly jumps back on deck 1 and stops playing on deck 1.

So, what am I doing wrong? In VDJ6 that worked for me just like i discribed :(

Im having the same problem..

:) Glad I'm not the only one...

Anybody else with these problem? Maybe with other controllers?

I had the same problem.
I'm using a Behringer DDM4000, one Denon DN-S3700 & Numark Virtual Vinyl I/O Box.
If you map a key on your controller for each deck with this "action":
deck x timecode_active (replace x with deck number)
This will let you choose which deck the timecode will controls.

Can anybody tell me how to save multiple sets of midi mapping info with VDJ 6 or 7 and load them later.
I use different equipment set-ups with assorted midi controllers depending on the event.
With VDJ 5 I would just save "midi config" setting and load them as I needed depending on what gear is in play.
It was so easy to save and load xml files, I hope there is still a way to use them with the newer versions of VDJ.
I Have no idea how to do this with VDJ 6 and up or even if it is possible.
Will somebody please point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

i think im having the same the problem..

i have a single turntable setup. when i load a new track into a deck i want the turntanle to control the new deck automatically with out having to toggle the timecode button. it used to do it this for me automatically in vdj6. any one know how to make this work?

thanks

@ mr atko If you look in documents/virtualdj/mappers, you will find the mapping setup for your devices. If you save them to other folders outside the mappers folder, then you can just drag and drop the one you want into the mappers folders, then restart vdj and you're good to go.

Hye guys, I had this problem as well but managed to solve it with help from other on this forum.

You'll need to change your Tab keyboard shortcut to:

TAB = deck active select & timecode_active

still have a problem my saved mappers arent working dont no wat to do..

SBDJ recently created a program to store different profile setups - it works great - check the download section.

turn off AUTO HEADPHONES in config.

this didn't do it for me

I could make it with my old Connectiv and one SL1210, by assigning two keystrokes with the following two actions :

* ENTER : deck 1 timecode_active 1 off & deck 2 timecode_active 1 on
* RETURN : deck 2 timecode_active 1 off & deck 1 timecode_active 1 on

Would love to find a way to assign a toggle with only one stroke though !

No need to dig out a 2 year old thread. ;-)

Closed.
