I just installed VDJ 7 and have new issue I have not had before,
When I have it scanning for BPM's a certain song stalls very near the end of it's scan and freezes up VDJ requiring me to restart the program, the song plays fine,
I would hate this to happen during a show

It may be a corrupted song and/or VDJ doesn't like the way the song was encoded. Hopefully its like a song or 2. Had this happen with Final Scratch, PCDJ, Mixmeister, Windows Media Player, VLC...Try to re-rip the song from cd or re-encode the song using CDex or any other converter of your choice. I have some mpeg2 videos that it doesn't like since version 6.04- They would crash my system if I try to load them. I found the ones that won't load by removing the folder from the database and re-adding it back, then scanning for BPMs. Any that failed (without BPM) were moved to a different folder, then converted to a "supported" codec.
With any software updates, always test your system. I normally play on it a few hours @ home, then load up like 40hrs of songs in the playlist, let it automix on its own. Sometimes I get brave and update and play, but always have a backup plan.
