Topic: Quick question re: VDJ 7 multi-deck mapping

Hi all.
I'm playing with the new Version 7 and I'm trying out using four decks for the first time.
I want to map a key on my Denon HC4500 to toggle the left deck and right deck.
I'm using:
leftdeck deck1? deck 3 leftdeck : deck 1 leftdeck
And this is working fine, but when I use the same for the right deck:
rightdeck deck2? deck 4 rightdeck : deck 2 rightdeck
If deck 4 is selected as rightdeck it switched to deck 2 as I wish, but if deck 2 is selected it will not switch to deck 4?

Also I currently haven't got the HC4500 in front of me, when it's connected will the deck (1,2,3,4) selected as leftdeck or rightdeck be the only ones affected by the controls on the HC4500?

its opposite


deck 2 rightdeck ? deck 4 rightdeck : deck 2 rightdeck

same for deck 1 and 3
 
I tried this:
deck 1 leftdeck ? deck 3 leftdeck : deck 3 leftdeck ? deck 1 leftdeck : deck 2 rightdeck ? deck 4 rightdeck : deck 4 rightdeck ? deck 2 rightdeck : nothing

but it only works for toggling decks 1 and 3, not for 2 and 4
btw I have VCI-300.

I have another questions which goes under this topic...

I would like to extend vci-300 to use 4 decks. Even If I manually toggle between deck 1 and deck 3, play button always plays only deck 1, scratchwheel scratches only deck 1 etc... How to change it?

Also: How can I map a keyboard shortcut that would cycle waveform focus between all 4 decks?

The action stops as soon as its TRUE ...

so you need TWO buttons, and you can simplify a little

1) deck 1 leftdeck ? deck 3 leftdeck : deck 1 leftdeck

2) deck 2 rightdeck ? deck 4 rightdeck : deck 2 rightdeck

(1) means if deck 1 is leftdeck, then make deck 3 leftdeck, else make 1 leftdeck (if deck 1 is not leftdeck)
 
Ok, I got the code working correctly and got the HC4500 working, but now I have another problem.
I want to assign the action to one of the FX buttons on the HC4500. How do I assign each FX button to only act on it's own deck? ie. The FX button on the left side of the controller only control deck 1&3, the button on the right side on the HC4500 only affect decks 2&4?
I only seem to be able to find FX2 listed in the software, not one for each side?
 
I also have the denon DN HC4500. and would like to use 4 deck skin in pro7. How do I map this out and which button should I use as a toggle. Thanks for the help, Lorenzo
