Using an Acer 5920 laptop, all is good, but occaisonally my Maya 44 soundcard will stop working. This will only happen if i switch on or off something plugged into the same power sockets as the laptop! This can be a fan, or even when i trigger my smoke machine!! The maya will stop playing audio, vdj will pause, then after around fifteen seconds all is well again! Has anybody experienced anything like this?!

Can you try to use a voltage regulator on your mains socket? It seems like a power issue...
