A funny Happy Birthday story.
I was working sound for live bands in 1999 and purchased AtomixMP3 to run MP3 mixes from a laptop plugged into the sound board between sets. I chose AtomixMP3 at the time because it was, as I recall, one of the only DJ kits that could do a true overlapping mix between tracks. My live sound days are a fading memory and the CD I burned as a back-up copy is not to be found, but I faithfully saved my s/n and AtomixMP3 website user log-in.
Got to thinking about a use for AtomixMP3 the other day and thought, "what the heck I'll google AtomixMP3 and maybe find a download".
I find my way to Virtualdj.com. There on the product listing is AtomixMP3 but (horrors) no download without a purchase. So I click on "SUPPORT/HELP" and there's an option for me to log-in. Now, I'm thinking: "10 years later this ID and PW will never work but I'll give it a try." Not only does it log me in and greet me with a guilt-tripping last login message, but there's my serial number and a download button!
Holy Cow! - Now that's customer service!
I feel almost obligated to buy something else. There's so much to choose from now I'll have to do my reading first.
Anyway... Happy 10th VIRTUALDJ and thanks for keeping up with me even if when I didn't keep up with you. We've all come a long way since we partied like it was 1999. :-)
