I have been using my "dj pc" for awhile now, and just got hold of a 2yr old hp laptop. I want to run vdj on it, and do some trials...you know see if it will run properly. What is the correct way to install vdj to this machine. Can I use my pro version? I already have this on my "dj pc", and I don't want to break the rules. Do I download the trial? What if I'm happy with the laptop performance? Can I install pro to the laptop and uninstall it from my dj pc? I just want to do this right. I love the software, and respect all the hard work you guys do at Atomix. Thanks.

You are allowed to have VDJ on more than one machine. Download to the laptop, and use the same user ID and password.

2 machines, 1 for gigging and 1 for a backup I believe.

As long as they are your machines, and you are not using them all at the same time, there's no set limit.

Thanks fellas for the quick replies. Formatting the drive on the laptop as I type this. Gonna hook up the old RMX and see whats up! Just wanted to do it right. Thanks again.

The End User License Agreement (EULA) allows you to have the software installed on up to two computers at any one time, providing that they are both for your own personal use and will not be used simultaneously (E.g: Second installation as a backup or for home practice is fine) You may also uninstall the software from an old computer and then install it onto a new computer.

Looking good so far, got VDJ on auto mix gonna let it run for a couple of hours.
Question: Under the performances tab what would be the best settings for the following setup?
HP laptop
AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor
2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 3000 video 700mb ram
Just gonna run audio, no videos with this video card ......... :(

I'm running xp, actually it's the Xp I found here on this forum. It's the one that has been "tweaked" to run audio applications!
Thanks again for all the help. Man this will eliminate the carrying in of a heavy pc case, and a flat screen monitor!
