Hercules Users I have a question...
Is the Mk4 small enough to fit into a backpack that holds a large laptop?
What are some of the advantages of the Mk4 over the Rmx and vice versa?
I have a Vestax VCI-100 but I like the fact that the MK4 has a protective cover to keep all the knobs protected during transport.

i have the Herc Steel and i use a swiss army backpack. My laptop has a 17 inch screen and it fits in the back compartment. My controller goes in the middle and my headphones go in the front. My external hard drive goes on one of the side pockets, and all cords go in the top zipper compartment...
so yeah, i think it'll work...

I use the Targus TXL617 as my laptop is a 17" Dell. I bought the TXL617 in bulk so I have a few left! LOL http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.aspx?sku=TXL617
For audio-only gigs I am considering downsizing to a Netbook.
The Steel doesn't have a built-in sound card though does it? I'm even looking at downsizing that. If I don't need timecodes then no need to haul around the Connectiv thus I'm after a controller that has a built-in sound card. I don't like the pitch knob as I am used to slider but as I'll be using an external mixer it should be a piece of cake to remap the volume slider to pitch.

I have an Hercules dj console mk4. Its small that can fit in your back pack. Actually i already hand carried it in a plane. The protective cover is very good in terms of protecting the knobs.
By the way, did anyone here tried already using the mk4 in scratching?
