have 2 monitors for the desktop
plus still have the separate output to the video monitor ?

Hi,
You could use a USB to VGA video card to extend you laptop screen onto a second monitor and still use the VGA out of the laptop to feed the projectors etc., or you could use this unit that gives you a VGA out and a DVI out so you could have 2 external monitors and still use the VGA out of the laptop.
