Laptop: HP Envy, 4GB RAM, Intel i7-Q820 1.73GHz, Windows 7 Pro x64
I have just bought Numark Mixtrack which came together with Traktor LE. I have installed Traktor LE but I cannot make it work with Mixtrack. Traktor LE does not even have configuration for Numark Mixtrack, it includes other Numark device models in the setup wizard (Omni, Stealth, Total, and Mixdeck)but not Mixtrack.
When I try to manually configure audio (and setup IDT High Definition Audio Codec (6 In, 4 Out) (WASAPI Shared)) the program stops responding, or otherwise if it does not stop and I try to play something - I cannot hear anything, or I can hear only what is played on B, but I cannot control from Mixtrack. When I try to quit the program it stops working and I cannot even end program using task manager.
Does anyone know how to deal with this issue? And can anyone tell if VDJ is better to use in this case?
I have read several topics in this forum and still not sure whether VDJ supports Mixtrack as it is relatively new controller.

I also purchased the Numark Mixtrack. I installed the Traktor LE software, and it seemed to work fine. One important step, do not plug in the Mixtrack before or during install. Once the program is done installing, plug in the Mixtrack and open the software for the first time. At that point, the installation wizard should take over and complete the install.
I understand what you mean about the software not supporting the Mixtrack because it was not one of the options of controllers being offered during the install process. Just click the "Next" button and proceed. These should help with your issues, and after doing this, my Mixtrack works fine with Traktor. If not, I would suggest contacting Numark support.
As for working with VDJ, they require you to purchase the Pro version which can cost around $300 (a rip-off in my opinion). Why pay that when the Traktor LE version works fine at no additional cost that what you already paid for the Mixtrack.

Will The Free trial Version work with a Numark Mixtrack (or any other controller)? since i don't notice any mapper files just wondering before my mixtrack arrives in the mail?

Numark mixtrack PRO is compatable with VDJ but you should of got Traktor if you purchased Numark mixtrack
